After nearly six months have passed since the purchase of equipment from Western Digital for 3.5-inch HDD size, Toshiba announced the release of the respective hard drive form factor volume from 1.5 to 3 TB. Twelve reservoirs are grouped into two series, DT01ACA and DT01ABA, but as part of each series – two models of 1.5, 2 and 3 TB.

HDD line DT01ACA support SATA 6 Gb / s, equipped with 64 MB of cache and are characterized by a spindle speed of 7200 rev / min. Representatives of the line is also connected to DT01ABA SATA 6 Gb / s, but the amount of buffer memory they have fewer – 32 MB.
