Ikea is launching a line of furniture with integrated TV

The new living room furniture from Ikea Uppleva are surmounted by an LED display and integrated CD / DVD / Blu-ray and a 2.1 sound system. The range will be available in seven European countries from the start.
Ikea will play the troublemaker on the electronics market with its concept for electronic media incorporating both a connected TV flat screen and a full audio-video system. The range is called Uppleva, which means ‘experience’ in Swedish. The cabinet is available in three finishes.
The electronics (+ screen home cinema) is provided by the Chinese TCL Multimedia. The LED display full HD will be available in several sizes from 24 inches and includes a complete connection (2 USB ports, 4 HDMI) as well as Wi-Fi and Ethernet for Internet access. The CD / DVD / Blu-ray is housed in the cabinet flush with the facade. The sound comes from a 2.1 system with a wireless subwoofer that can be placed wherever you want in the living room. No exposed wires and one remote to control all. IKEA claims to have designed this product from surveys of clients.
