Yesterday, Apple held its keynote and introduced a new iPhone model, the iPhone 5. But at the same time, the Cupertino company has unveiled two new iPod models: iPod Nano 7th generation and the new iPod touch. These two new iPod are the spearhead of Apple at the music. After selling its 350 million players since 2001, Apple does not stop there. Here’s everything you need to know about the new iPod released yesterday:

iPod Nano:

The iPod adopts a new look for the new generation, which is somewhat reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia. With its 2.5-inch multitouch LCD with a resolution of 240 x 432 (202 ppi), iPod nano is a little larger than its predecessor, but still retains a size small enough. Conceived as a mini iPhone, the iPod Nano has physical buttons Terminal Apple, that is to say, the home button, volume buttons and plugs. Side measurements, the new iPod nano takes a height of 76.5 mm, a width of 39.6 mm and above 5.4 mm thick. Everything is condensed into only 31 grams. It will of course comes with new headphones EarPods and will be available in different colors (gray, black, purple, blue, yellow, green and red). Last, the presence of a 3mm jack and port for the new connector lightning. The new iPod nano will be available by the end of the year at a price of 179 €

iPod touch:

After the iPod nano, Apple unveiled its new 5th generation iPod touch. Equipped with IPS Retina screen of 4 inches (the same as the iPhone 5 team), the iPod touch is capable of displaying a resolution of 1136 × 640 pixels (326ppi). It has a 800:1 contrast and of course the multitouch function. iOS 6 will obviously part in this new iPod.

Level measurements, we have the right to the iPod touch with a height of 123.4 mm, a width of 58.6 mm and a thickness of 6.1 mm, all condensed into 88 grams. The iPod touch will be available in 5 colors (black, gray, blue, yellow and pink), and will come with a wrist strap.

Processor side, we have the right to an A5 chip. For connectivity, the iPod touch has WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, 802.11n 2.4GHz et5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and a GPS function. Regarding connectivity, iPod touch new generation with a 3.5mm jack and of course the new port for the connector lightning. It will also be equipped with an integrated microphone and speakers. Finally, note the presence of an accelerometer gyroscope.

Side camera, front camera and camera back are in the game. For APN, Apple’s iPod touch has an iSight camera of 5 megapixels which can record at 1080p. Just as the iPhone 5, the camera will be equipped with an autofocus, a face detector, an LED flash, panorama function and video stabilization. The front camera is 1.2 Megapixel her and can record videos in 720p.


Regarding the sound, frequency covers from 20 to 20 000 kHz and formats supported are AAC, HE-AAC, MP3 VBR, AIFF and WAV. Then for video, note that the iPod touch is compatible AirPlay and bear the 720p and 1080p on a TV. Finally, Siri will also be taking part in this iPod touch, and will be exactly the same as the iPhone 5, that is to say, the enhanced version presented for iOS 6.
