A little more than a week after the announcement of the most affordable smartphone series Lumia, Nokia has introduced another innovation – one of its cheapest phones. The device, called the Nokia 109 will be in stores in the current quarter in China, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region at the price of $ 42 (excluding taxes and charges).

As its name and cost, equipment Nokia 109 is very modest. Thus, in the configuration of the device is a color 1.8-inch screen resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, FM-receiver, slot for memory cards microSD.

Nokia 109 is based on the software platform Series 40. Developers pay attention to the presence of online viewer Xpress Browser, which allows to compress web-pages by 90% and thus saving traffic, and a variety of mini-applications to access specific sites and services (including Twitter and Facebook). Interestingly, the device provides access to the Internet only through technology EDGE.

Dimensions of Nokia 109 – 110 x 46 x 14,8 mm, weight – 77 grams. Novelty is equipped with battery BL-5CB battery of 800 mAh, which provides the machine to 790 hours of standby time and up to 7.8 hours of talk time.
