The fact that the company ZTE will release a smartphone based on the platform Intel Medfield, became known in the exhibition MWC 2012 in late February. But only now, six months later, the company has matured in order to formally introduce the device. The sign for the new company (after all, Intel and ZTE designed not for one year) was named Grand X IN.

It should be noted that ZTE has made some changes to the device (compared to the standard), the most significant of which is noticeably rounded forms of housing. Another important point – increased to 4.3-inch diagonal screen (reference sample, we recall, is content with screen diagonal of 4.03 inches). True, the screen resolution is small – 960 x 540 pixels.

The equipment ZTE Grand X IN is a single core processor Intel Atom Z2460 (1,6 GHz), 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal flash memory, two cameras (main resolution – 8 MP, front – 0.3 megapixel), a GPS receiver , modules, wireless WiFi 802.11b/g/n (supported by WiFi Direct) and Bluetooth 2.1 + A2DP, NFC, a slot for microSD memory cards and a full set of sensors. ZTE Grand X IN managed OS Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and this is another difference from the reference sample of clones, while working on Android 2.3.7, but expects Android 4.0.4 (ICS).
Dimensions, weight and battery capacity smartphone – 127 x 65 x 9,9 mm, 140.8 g and 1650 mA • h, respectively. ZTE Grand X IN go on sale in Europe in September, but its price is still unknown.
