The new iPod Touch

The new iPod Touch and Digital Camera, it is not just a rumor, it is true that a new iPad touch will come in September, following on from fervent speculation concerning a possible new version of Apple’s iPod Touch being in the wings, we have the first images of the new Apple device yes, we have probably one of the biggest scoops of the year thanks to unearthing the new iPod Touch’s product page which is yet to go fully live. According to John Henry, the U.K. retailer, one can expect a device inspired by the iPhone 4 that will come with a front facing camera, gyroscope as well as video chat.
The new device, on the face of it, whilst meeting with certain expectations, certainly has a few surprises up its sleeves. We’re not entirely surprised that, from what we can gather from the image we’ve obtained, the new iPod Touch appears to embrace and further the Touch as a portable gaming device – on the right side of the device you can clearly see a set of gaming buttons – as Apple are well known to be pushing the Touch’s gaming abilities. It is expected that the new iPod will be equipped with a 5-megapixel camera that is considered to be front-facing. Also it will be enabled with flash. The maker has added a VGA-quality camera that is able to record video at the resolution of 640-by-480 pixels.

The new iPod Touch’s capabilities but, on first impressions alone, it has all the hallmarks of being a particularly fine tuned portable multimedia gaming device with the addition of TV, coffee making capabilities and 3D video capture functionality. Needless to say, we’ll endeavour to update you the moment we unearth full details – though we suspect Engadget or Gizmodo will get there first, as always.
Also the new device will feature the iPhone 4’s glorious screen, i.e. the Retina display that offers the resolution of 960-by-640 pixels. The iPod Touch is supportive to 802.11b/g wireless.
As the iPod Touch will be enabled with a video camera, it would be sensible for the device to have a mic in order to talk to your friends or relatives.
Apple has also integrated a larger battery into its new handset, offering 10 hours of Internet use. So one can expect that the iPod Touch will be available with extra staying power.
In fact, it would be great to see 3G capability on the iPod Touch, but, unfortunately, it won’t happen in the near future.
