IDF 2012 : Intel talked about processors Haswell

During the Intel Developer Forum, Intel talked about next-generation Haswell. The chips will be performed at rates 22-nanometer manufacturing process, as Ivy Bridge, but to use a completely new architecture, which gives a great advantage in power consumption.

For example, a PC based on the basis of a central processor family, Ivy Bridge with a TDP 17 W in terms of performance will match that of the chip in Haswell, termopaket which will not exceed 10 watts. Graphics performance of the integrated GPU in Intel Haswell processors compared to Ivy Bridge will be doubled and will match the level of AMD Radeon 6450. Integrated graphics core chips Intel Haswell will support standard Direct X 11.1, OpenGL 4.0 and OpenCL 1.2.

Among the innovations in architecture Haswell noteworthy support for new instructions and changes in cache memory. It should also be noted that in one cycle Haswell processors can perform 32 operations a single-precision or double-precision operations 16 AVX 2 and FMA, respectively. Available processors Intel Haswell should appear in 2013.
