Acer updates the Aspire M5 laptops and V5 in anticipation of the release of Windows 8, the main point – touch display


In anticipation of the release of Windows 8, many companies are looking to upgrade their computers, both desktop and mobile, thus ensuring better compatibility ready devices with the new operating system. Acer has not ignored the trend, resulting in a new version of the thin-and-light notebooks Aspire M5 and V5.

In the line of Aspire M5, a model with a 14-inch touch screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It was designated 481PT, and its configuration entered processor Intel Core i5 third generation, 6 GB of RAM, HDD 500 GB, working together with a 20 GB SSD, optical drive. Battery life, as well as the version with the usual display, stated at eight o’clock. While the Aspire M5 preloaded with Windows 8 will be available in the U.S. for $ 700, the cost of the version with a touch screen will be $ 800.


As for the line of Aspire V5, then it also appeared the 14-inch touch screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Its symbol – V5-471P. Novelty is equipped with a processor Intel Core i5-3317UB, and the maximum amount of RAM and HDD announced at 8 and 750 GB respectively. Cost Acer Aspire V5-471P Basic version starts at $ 750.

It remains to note that both of the new laptop will be available in the U.S. since 26 October.
