Samsung Ativ Smart PC with Intel Atom processor in the unboxing

Samsung Ativ Smart PC
At IFA in Berlin this year, Samsung has introduced the new Ativ series. All devices come in this series, as well as the Samsung S Ativ. With a Microsoft operating system Here, despite the compact size, a real Windows 8 is installed and not a stripped down Windows version RT. Specifically, here is an Intel Atom processor fitted with 1.5Ghz, a 11.6 inch display with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels and also an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel camera on the front. From the processor you may of course do not expect miracles, this is only suitable for lower level jobs.

This particular model is the most expensive option with integrated UMTS modem and includes a detachable keyboard. The battery in the device has a capacity of 4080mAh and holds several hours without a power connection. Samsung itself specifies the duration of 14 hours, in the first test turned out that this is more than unlikely. Also, 2GB RAM, 64GB storage space, a microSD slot and an S-Pen for input via a stylus is available. Connection as standard as good as anything you can dream: a full USB port on the device is installed and 2 more on the keyboard dock. MicroHDMI a connection is naturally present, so you connect the tablet with a large display can.

What has bothered me at IFA is the angle in which you can flip the tablet while it’s in the keyboard back. For many, this will be too small if it would continue, however, the tablet would just fall backwards. It is thus only one problem with the form factor.

In the video below we take the Samsung Smart Ativ PC and us. If there are questions you can still make this easy in the comments. For precisely this variant are currently on Amazon incidentally hefty € 900 payable.
