One of the most important goals of modern high technology is to remove the electronics from the owners hateful wires. So, if we take into account mediafalov playback from one device to another, then, Apple has its own standard for AirPlay, which provides broadcast content via Wi-Fi. The problem is that the standard is only used on devices from Apple. The alternative is going to be a common technology Miracast.

Organization of Wi-Fi Alliance has started certification of devices compatible with the new standard Miracast, which also runs on wireless networks. However, unlike the Apple AirPlay, this technology does not require the organization of a complete network with a router and client, it uses the solution Wi-Fi Direct, which provides for the direct connection of one device to another. We are talking about smartphones, tablet computers, laptops and desktop computers, TVs, set-top boxes and media players.

Despite the fact that the certification Miracast-compatible devices only just started, many members of the organization Wi-Fi Alliance are already using this technology in their own branded products. Thus, the flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy SIII and LG Optimus G already support the technology and have Miracast preliminary certificates.


Other participants in the project are brands such as Broadcom, Intel, LG, Marvell, MediaTek, NVIDIA, Realtek, Samsung, Sony, and Texas Instruments. They have already announced the start of the introduction of technology into its proprietary products. It is noteworthy that Intel’s technology for wireless transmission of high resolution video WiDi will now also compatible with Miracast. And by 2016, experts predict, will be awarded certificates Miracast already 1.5 billion products.
