Considering that large companies like Apple, Intel and Microsoft have shown great interest in the services of Internet TV streaming, it seems that this technology will be the next battleground of the giants of the digital world. Today is Google who holds our attention with rumors published by the Wall Street Journal, which indicate that the company has initiated discussions with several companies creating multimedia content to license TV channels.

The Google service offer packages of channels transmitted through the web, in a manner similar to how cable TV works today. Nevertheless, we must remember that Google already tried something similar a few years ago and in the end it was no agreement. In any case, things are different now that services like Amazon Instant, Netflix and Hulu have grown, reaching new territories and users.

According to the New York Times these talks are only preliminary and for now we should not expect to reach an agreement. That means that there is still much to finally there is a real replacement for television internet, and therefore cable companies can breathe calm for a few months or years.
