Intel Medfield SoC promises Quad Core … Or almost

While the American manufacturer Intel is actively preparing the second generation of Soc Medfield, Sumeet Syal (Marketing Director at Intel) to TechCrunch says that the second generation chips will be compatible LTE but Hyper Threading.

Owners living room PC recognize here one of the technologies that made the success of the manufacturer: Hyper Threading is to emulate a core logic for each additional physical core present in the system.

On future mobile terminals, this should result in SoC dual core course, but as software-powered quad core for consumption and ratio performance / watt advantage over the competition.

These chips should be available during the first half of 2013, probably engraved in 28nm.
