The company Zacuto USA conducted a study in which nine compared high-resolution cameras to determine the best option. The study took place attended by many filmmakers, including Francis Ford Coppola, director of the immortal Godfather and uncle of Nicolas Cage. The result of the project has exceeded all expectations, the best was not the most expensive camera.

For the study we selected the largest manufacturers of cameras, including Canon, Sony, Panasonic, RED, and many others. The most expensive and powerful challenger was Sony F65 with a price tag of 65 $ thousand, and the easiest option turned out to be a mobile phone Apple iPhone 4. Control groups around the world showing the materials captured by these cameras, but the corresponding models were not called. And now, the best was Panasonic GH2, mirrorless digital camera Panasonic GH2 with standard optics micro four-thirds and the price of 700 U.S. dollars.
 
Of course, the results of the study can not be treated as an ultimate truth, because the assessments were subjective, no matter what. This is because the quality of the footage dependent on the skills of cinematographer, video genre and personal preferences of those who voted.
