SK Hynix completed quarter profit – helped increase the demand for memory

According to estimates of the company, in the period from October to December 2012, revenue grew by 6.5% to 2.47 billion dollars. For the quarter was a gain of approximately $ 150 million. In comparison, SK Hynix loss for the same period of 2011 amounted to 220 million dollars. Back to the South Korean manufacturer has arrived only in the third quarter of 2012, when the income was about $ 1.8 million.

SK helped Hynih and increased sales of mobile devices that use flash memory, also produced by the company. Compared with the previous quarter delivery flash memory type NAND rose 19%, the average selling price increased by 6%. By the way, DRAM supply increased by 28%, while the average selling price decreased by 10%.

A role in the improvement of quarterly played strengthening South Korean currency, the dollar will reduce the company’s debt. But in general, 2012 SK Hynix completed with a loss of 145 million dollars.
