German designer Marianne Merenmis (Marianna Merenmies) won second prize at the event, International Design Awards in the category of transport on alternative fuels. The concept is called McLaren JetSet, a project of this futuristic vehicle designed specifically for the iconic British car maker.

When working on a project Marianne wanted to make the car of the future as easy and economical. McLaren JetSet is an absolutely pure electric vehicle, the shape of the body is stored in two drop-down flap at the back, which creates the correct aerodynamic design in motion. The body is made of ultra-light carbon fiber composites.

The author says that this modest single machine is designed for city traffic. However, we must pay tribute to the brand and the McLaren, the concept of JetSet clearly retained the excellent handling characteristics, but only to the extent permissible. Hardly in the near future the company will release a McLaren does something similar, but in future the British automaker’s designers could easily come up with something similar. It is quite possible to believe that this concept of the future.
