The company Logitec has announced the expansion range of drives that are connected to a PC, a series of LHR-8B. The structure of the model range includes two devices – LHR-8BNEU3, does not support RAID, and LHR-8BREU3, providing support for RAID Levels JBOD, 0, 5, 10 and 50.

Drives, it should be noted, are not small: Dimensions – 155 x 253 x 352 mm, weight – about five pounds. However, this is easily explained by the fact that they are designed for the installation of eight hard drives 3.5 inch size up to 3 TB each. So, the total amount of storage is 24 TB.

To cool the HDD once the developers have provided two fans with a diameter of 80 mm, speed of which varies depending on the temperature inside the case. It is interesting that the creators are not paid attention, and some functions of anti-LHR-8B: The front cover is locked with a key drive, and on the rear panel connector is provided for the lock Kensington.
