Quick review of the mirrorless camera Olympus OM-D E-M5

Unlike Panasonic, Olympus Company reacted to the release of mirrorless cameras standard Micro 4/3 is quite conservative. If Panasonic released almost immediately advanced model, Lumix GH1, a year which has been updated to GH2, then Olympus has long produced only a relatively compact camera line of Pen, a “top-end” segment was represented only mirror devices (or more precisely, one unit – E-5 .) Olympus OM-D E-M5 is completely changes the situation.

Release of E-M5, Olympus launched a new line, called OM-Digital (hence the designation of OM-D). This line, in contrast to the compact Pen’ov, will include a full-featured camera, the target audience who are power users. That is why the OM-D was built, and the viewfinder, and ingress protection, the existence of which had previously been the privilege of older models of SLR cameras. Nonrandom, and the index model (E-M5): Manufacturer clearly alludes to the fact that we face an analogue SLR flagship E-5, only more compact. Indeed, comparison of the technical characteristics of the two units suggests that the E-M5 gives way to E-5 only the minimum shutter speed (1/4000 vs. 1/8000).
