Nintendo 3DS XL Anti-reflective screens improved

Just days before the console launch of Nintendo 3DS XL in Europe, important information was not highlighted by the manufacturer: improved anti-reflective screens.

Announced at the end of E3 2012, the 3DS XL was a logical next step for Nintendo, as was the case with the 3DS. Thus, this new model has 90% larger screens than the current 3DS, at the same time offering a range revised upwards.

However, very important information had not been provided thus far by the Japanese automaker: the anti-reflective screens of 3DS XL. Indeed, efforts have been provided at this level, so it comes to Nintendo’s handheld console that has the most matte screens to date.

Takeshi Murakami, chief designer of the Nintendo 3DS XL, said:

“There are essentially three layers of a reflective LCD, thus generating reflections. This time, we specifically addressed these three layers. The reflectivity of the 3DS were about 12%, but we have reduced to 3%. ”

The establishment of an anti-reflective more pronounced was possible because of its cost now more accessible due to advances made in technology and manufacturing process.

Satoru Iwata also stipulates that the anti-glare is a topic from the time of the GameBoy Advance with, every time, given up to a resignation because of price.

In short, with the 3DS XL, it will be possible to play outdoors (eg beach) without being bothered by glare. And they’re not since the console arrives in Europe on July 28 in three colors: red, blue and silver.
