London 2012 : the number of tweets a problem

The Olympics began Friday night, and already the first worries arrive on networks. Indeed, it appears that during the first Olympic events, too many tweets were posted on the microblogging site, causing some problems on the cover of the event.

Apparently, according to Reuters, that the hordes of sports fans that swept through the English capital saturates the UK networks with its messages. To the point that the IOC, the International Olympic Committee, has asked viewers to tweet less, and post messages only if they are relevant.

The problem was revealed when the man cycling race Saturday. Indeed, the spectators, too intensive given, disrupted television broadcast, making the HS GPS and preventing commentators give the exact position of some riders.
